If you have a loved one with a disability avoid this hospital as they obviously feel that the disability act doesn't include them. My deaf 80 year old mother was admitted 4 days ago and they have yet to provide a interpreter other that the one time they used a 9 inch tablet that she could not see and a site board she did not understand. We tried several times to explain this to them but got empty promises and the last patient rep we spoke to stated that they didn't have to provide round the clock interpreting services. While there today my mother pressed the nurses button several times and they would ask what she needed over the intercom...well of course she didn't respond as she couldn't head them asking so we assumed they would come any way...nope never came in...and then when the new nurse came in she just started talking to my mom without even looking at her or taking the time to read the million signs posted everywhere advising that she was deaf and when we informed her she was deaf she wad like oh no one told me...do they not Review patients during shift change? If you want a class act hospital that takes care of the hearing impaired and provides the services that the ADA requires go to Gwinnett Medical! Maybe NEGA could learn a thing or two from them
When will we have a hospital that is actually caring, compassionate and have a little bit more pep in their step!! My child has been here for 2 hours and nothing has been done except X-rays! Those were done an hour and 45 minutes ago!! I see now why y’all have a 3.2 rating!!
I have been in ICU and the regular floor rooms on several occasions since the hospital opened . 95 % of the time the staff has been very caring and made me feel as comfortable as you can in that environment. There is and always be that rare person that isn't what you expect of the nursing staff. I give the hospital kudos overall. I feel in good hands and that includes cardiac.
The good.... Nurses are all very kind and friendly and helpful. Only reason I changed from 1-3*
Not one to write reviews, but I just cannot say enough good things about my experience in the ER yesterday. I was back in a room and talking with a doctor in under 15 mins. The nurses were all fantastic and made sure I was as comfortable as possible. I am sure it had to do with the time I arrived/etc but I could not believe how incredible the experience was there!!
The bad..Emergency room was not really busy and still over a 2 1/2 hour wait with my wife is extreme pain. Have yet to be seen. Could have gotten better treatment down the road. This is a Brand new place with plenty of space & should have the bed count and Doctors to accommodate it's patients
I came here when they first opened and had a horrible experience! Waited until today to come back and it HAS NOT changed!!
